Memoirs of a Geisha was a wonderful movie. The screenplay was pretty good, keeping the essence of the novel. The director was awesome. I just loved his Chicago. The little Japanese girl Ohgo Suzuka stole my heart with her amazing performance as the young Sayuki and Gong Li did an amazingly good job as the bitch geisha Hatsumomo. Michelle Yeoh looked pretty old for the role of "most popular Geisha" Mameha but she was very convincing nonetheless. Ken Watanabe. What can I say about him? He's Japan's best actor around!
Now, Zhang Ziyi (or Ziyi Zhang, as she likes to be known nowadays). She's got a long way to go in terms of acting. Her expressions were good, but not convincing enough. Blah. I'm just nit-picky.
It's off to Chingay (sounds like a Singaporean take on Mardi Gras innit? Chingay? Heh heh...) rehearsals again tomorrow morning. *sigh* Gotta go. Cya...

The Day I Write A Love Poem
Truth For You
These words are truth from love
For the one I treasure most
A year apart makes no difference
Cos what's from the heart is most
Precious
Hari Raya we walked along
Town with my stack of heavy notes
They weren't heavy
Cos you
Were there beside me
In the box we smiled as lights
Flashed and blinded our eyes
The moment we had inside
Felt truly like heaven
You crack me up with
Your sidesplitting jokes
Your smile so true and sweet
I smile too
The nearer the
More beautiful you are
Atheletic you say you're not
You're not
But I still feel the same
It won't change
It cannot
You're beautiful
Eyes that shine through photographs
Though you're not really there
You feel real
Real enough
You are perfect
Like a cold sundae on a hot hot day
I wish and I
Pray
That you feel the same
About me.
Three words
Dare I say?
Footnote:
The poem above is written on behalf of my friend who related his story to me and wanted a poem written for his special someone.

The Day I Went Shopping For The Lit Room
Yesterday
Was at Carrefour and IKEA doing shopping for our Lit room with Mrs Gan (and her husband), Ms Victor, Ms Kwok, Colleen and Emily (along with her boyfriend. Dunno his name.) It was so fun I tell you. Shopping with someone else's money is the greatest pleasure on Earth becuase you don't really get to do it all the time. Got lots and lots of cusions now! Yay!
Today
Had my 1st Chingay Street Rockers rehearsal at SRJC. So many people. So many cheers. So noisy. So fun. Haha... I'm nuts.

The Day I Saw...
You come back 6 months after the
Grieving you've made me go through
You say sorry
Should I forgive you?
I will.
Will I forget?
I won't.
You said I was too nice
You didn't say goodbye
You want my forgiveness
6 months
It's a long time
6 months
I can't forget
2 months
You made me go mad
1 lifetime
Of that wretched memory
I wanna say
"Go to hell, muthaf***ing a**hole"
But I can't
I won't
The new year has come
The time for forgiveness is due
Forgive you,
I will
But I will never forget what you did to me.
Grieving you've made me go through

The Day I Make My 2006 Resolutions
In this new year, I'd like to set down some ground rules for myself. Here is the list of my new year's resolutions:
[1] Be a good son
[2] Be a responsible and dilligent student
[3] Be a thoughtful and understanding friend
[4] Do well for all tests and exams
[5] Complete all my tutorials on time
[6] Work hard for a good bod
[7] Fall in love
[8] Be a loving and loyal boyfriend
[9] Grow stronger in faith
[10] Find myself
I guess 10 would be a nice start. Oh yes, one more...
