It's the fall season and all the TV shows are coming back in the new, post-WGA Strike era! And guess what I found on YouTube about the latest season of Grey's Anatomy?
It's a spoof, obviously. But Jimmy Kimmel's pretty good, being able to pull this off. I may just start watching Grey's again. Heh.

The Day of Rants & Musings (I'm Stuck In Camp, I Can't Help It)
And once again, the time has come for me to be on duty again this weekend. And by weekend, I mean the entire weekend (Saturday and Sunday back to back. Woohooo!) Oh joy. I've got alot of things on my mind, so this is going to be a very random, rapid piece of rant, rant and more rant.
1. From A to B to C to...
I've been serial dating for quite awhile and I think I should stop. It's not healthy (emotionally, at least) and it'd probably be good for me to take a break.
2. Room Dilemma
Ok, so here's the deal. My place is not ready yet, but it will be soon. And I'm torn between making my entire room Japanese-style and getting myself a tatami bed or simply buying a normal queen-sized mattress and doing up the room "love shack" style (red & black walls and all). Need suggestions.
3. LoveIn Dis Club
I HAVEN'T GONE CLUBBING IN 2 MONTHS.
I neeeeeed to (as Mariah puts it) shake it off.
4. Sarah Palin IS NOT Hilary Clinton
I may not be American, but I have been following the run-up to the US elections quite religiously, and I'm sick and tired of hearing people saying that Sarah Palin is like Hilary Clinton. Obvious differences aside (Palin's Republican, Clinton's a Democrat), Palin is the complete opposite of Clinton. She's an anti-choice feminist who's pro-abstinence and marriage (yeah and her *cough*pregnant*cough* 17-year-old daughter is what?), in favour of drilling in the Artic, doesn't believe in teaching evolution and is against gay marriage. Plus she hunts (as in shoots animals) and is in favour of the extension of the Iraq occupation by US troops. Basically, her political stance is no different from McCain.
Which is why I think it's a huge joke that the Republicans have resorted to pulling the gender card. Do they seriously think thatAmerican women the Hilary-supporters are so stupid that they'd vote based on gender alone? That's really quite patronizing and tokenizing. And sexist.
5. End-of-year Holidays!
Hmmm. Who wants to go to Hong Kong and/or LA with me? Probably going in early November or late December.
6. Performing Live
I really really reaaaally miss performing. The glare of the stage lights, being able to share my voice with other people, the adrenaline rush of being on stage, the post-performance applause... Everything about it. Ah well, I'm probably doing a gig soon. Keep your fingers crossed.

The Day of Long Overdue Updates
The past couple of weeks has been nothing but crazy, crazy crazy. I've finally packed and moved and I'm sorry if I haven't been able to catch up with everybody since my return from Thailand. August has been a helluva month. But no worries, I've got some updates coming right up:
Jerrick's 20th
In the midst of all the craziness and surrealism of moving out, I managed to take some time off to attend Jerrick's 20th Birthday celebration at the very cosy Pepperoni's (located just down the road from NJC in Bukit Timah). It was a small affair, and I had to opportunity to catch up with some long lost friends (namely Victoria, Daniel, Aaron and Wan Jin). Jerrick's going to fly off to the UK in mid-September, and I know I'm really going to miss him.
The private room
Doodling on the table top
Clockwise from left: Victoria, Jerrick, me, Daniel
The huge-ass family sized pizzas enough to feed at least 5 people
The Birthday boy and his nice cake (of course it's nice cos I bought it! Hahahaha....)
iPhone 3G
I know this thing has been around since July 11th in the better parts of the world, but unfortunately for us, it's only just hit our shores last weekend. Dad and I arrived at hello! Comcentre at around 8.45am last Saturday (cos we booked the 9-11am slot), not expecting any queue cos we assumed that the crazies would've gotten their iPhones the day before. But we were wrong. Once we got there, we were greeted by a looooooong line of fervent Apple fans (and probably some "novelty seekers" here and there). On the bright side, Singtel did a great job in dealing with the queue and we managed to purchase the phone within 25 minutes of our arrival.
Some photos of my new 16G, glossy, white-backed baby:
My new new love. :)
Au Revoir Laurel Park
And the time has come for me to say goodbye the the place where I've built my life and nurtured fond memories of for the past 12 years. The deadline for moving out came before we knew it, and to mark the occasion, I had a small gathering as a goodbye gesture to my beloved house. 人生无不散之宴席。Didn't make it less difficult for me to say goodbye, but it was nice while it lasted.
Some photos of us vandalizing my room on the last night:
If it ain't broke, break it. :P
Goodbye my old home. You were great.
